Thanksgiving Day arrives, and retired intelligence colonel Frank Slade decides to celebrate it by “spoiling” himself with a trip to New York. Frank wants to arrange his last “big exit” in grand style: an exquisite hotel, a luxury limousine, expensive liquor, and stunningly beautiful women. There are only two little problems. First: Frank is blind in both eyes. And second: the colonel’s exciting relatives decide to hire a guide for a small fee—a needy student from a prestigious college named Charlie Simms.
The last thing Frank Slade needs on his trip is this “green” kid. But the journey of these two remarkably unlike people ends up changing their lives forever.
