The Law of Duty

A sniper did what he had to do—he saved those dear to him. But in doing so, he broke one of the Zone’s most terrible laws—the Law of Duty. Everyone knows that the Zone does not forgive those who break its laws… On top of that, the sniper somehow managed to become an enemy of one of the strongest groups operating on the anomalous territory. And to make matters worse, a hideous creature is hunting him—something that made its way from the world of the Kremlin into the world of the Chernobyl Zone.

But problems don’t seem insoluble when old friends are nearby: Viktor Saveliev, nicknamed “the Japanese,” and a cyborg girl who is firmly determined to find her beloved. True, everything becomes much more complicated when your companions turn into dangerous enemies—when, from a neighboring world, something that could completely destroy humanity is about to break into the Zone… and when the worst thing happens: to carry out his duty, he is forced to kill his best friend.
