The Curse of the Sea Dragon

Sasha dreams of winning the school recitation contest—not because she wants the prize, but because she wants to put the snarky Chloe, who has been in first place for the past few years, in her place. But something goes wrong: the prize turns out not to be what the girls expected, and now Chloe and Sasha are stuck on a sinister island, in a lagoon with a sunken ship—and it seems they’re also dealing with mermaids who demand that the girls return an amulet that allows them to command the seas. And it has been stolen by a sea dragon! It’s nice to read about such adventures, but taking part in them is not so pleasant: it’s wet, cold, and dangerous!
