Nadezhda Lokhvitskaya, known by the pen name Teffi, elegantly and with irony describes events, and sometimes even includes sarcasm. Her works became popular more than a century ago and since the 1990s are often reprinted. Mostly, these are humorous or lyrical works from the emigration period. However, her pre-revolution feuilletons for a long time went unnoticed. Now, for the first time, they are collected into an audiobook. These witty notes, full of subtle observations and sharp judgments, reflect everyday life in early 20th-century Russia and are surprisingly relevant even today. They show how much in common modern life has with Teffi’s heroes, and they are written in a vivid and expressive language.
