The legendary singer and entertainer Leonid Utyosov left us not only songs and film roles. He also left a smile and good spirits.
Utyosov was born and raised in Odessa and lived a long and interesting life. He was unbelievably charming, cheerful, and witty, and among friends he was known as a wonderful storyteller.
With Utyosov’s name, many jokes are associated, and oral tales about him have long turned into anecdotes and “stories”—becoming an integral part of the city’s folklore.
