Description
The story takes place in the USSR, in Leningrad, presumably in the 1970s of the 20th century.
The main character, Dmitry Alekseevich Malyanov, an astrophysicist, is on vacation and continues working on his scientific research. Unexpectedly and deeply, Malyanov advanced in developing the topic “The Interaction of Stars with Diffuse Matter in the Galaxy.” As soon as he begins to understand that this is a revolutionary discovery and a breakthrough in science, unexplained events start happening in his life. The moment Malyanov sits down to work, something immediately occurs that makes it impossible to return to his work. Malyanov realizes that all these events are not for nothing. His scientific investigations are clearly interfering with someone—or something.
