Pasha and Lila Yevpoli live in complete poverty in an ordinary Russian city. Only Lila works and brings money into the house. Pasha, meanwhile, spends his time painting. He dreams of drawing something worth the effort and moving to the city of his dreams—Saint Petersburg—and Lila supports him in every possible way.
All they have is love and faith in each other.
But one day, Lila gets fired. They start to quarrel. Lila’s ex-boyfriend returns to their lives, and Pasha goes through a creative crisis. Will they be able to overcome a chain of failures? Will Pasha paint the picture of his life? Will they keep their strong love? And will the dream of the Yevpoli move to Saint Petersburg come true?
