"We are the impossibility in an impossible universe."— Ray Bradbury
After the incredible contact of a Martian mission with a race of Ken-Cho, the world forever became different, but for most people on Earth nothing has yet changed. They still don’t know that they’ve become part of the mighty supercivilization of the Accord—and that from the unknown depths of space an unavoidable threat is closing in, for which Earth is no more than a speck of dust. However, in the process of communicating with an advanced race, the Earthlings begin to realize their own uniqueness—something that has interested even those who disagree, who have chosen the path of struggle. Will this become Earth’s curse or its blessing? Can humanity cope with a new ethics and the transformation of all its life?
