Description
“Where did the blood come from? It’s death. She ambushed me and cut me with her scythe.” Lida, half-mad, walked from the kitchen to the bathroom, staring at someone in front of her. Why is there darkness in your eyes, Lidochka? Why do you have bloody glass in your hand? Come to your senses!

Lida’s glassy eyes clung to the mirror surface. From it looked back a face alien to her, hateful to her—of a depraved creature.

“It’s your fault for everything! I will torture you. I will get rid of you.”

She dragged a shard across the face of the depraved woman. And she screamed in pain and at the sight of a crimson smear.

“Well, so what!” Another smear, turning her pale face into a terrible mask. Lida tore the blood-splattered cloth off her mother’s body to stain the depraved flesh. The savage cuts drained her. The fountain that burst from her hand cleared her mind for a moment.

She rushed into the hallway for no reason—but she was thrown and fell hard. Crawling on all fours, she somehow climbed the upper half of herself onto the table, to leave Kola a few words in farewell: “Kolya, forgive me. Irochka knows everything.”
