Pyotr Nikolayevich Mamonov is one of the brightest figures of modern Russian culture. An actor, musician, director, radio host, he created wonderful images in film and theater. He has appeared in more than 20 films. He staged about 15 musical productions in which he played the leading roles. Nearly three hundred original radio broadcasts of "The Golden Shelf" aired on the Moscow radio station "Echo of Moscow." More than 20 music discs by the rock band "Zvuki Mu" have been released. But the most important thing in his life was poetry.
“I’m not so much a musician as a poet by temperament; that’s how I feel. I’ve been writing poetry for a long time, and generally I have such a poetic approach to reality,” he says about himself.
This book continues Pyotr Mamonov’s series of poetry. Inside—original poems typed on an "Underwood" typewriter, with notes left by the author’s own hand. This collection includes previously unpublished poems by Mamonov. They reflect thoughts about the essence of life and the nature of a person—thoughts that will resonate in everyone’s heart.
