I Am Spartacus

*** By changing events from a distant past, we change ourselves here and now *** A cyborg from the 23rd century and our contemporary Ivan Surkov are transported to the year 73 BC, where they take part in the uprising of Spartacus: from preparing a rebellion in the gladiator school of Capua to the battle by the river Silar, which became fatal for the fighting slaves.

The cyborg diligently carries out the order given to him—to protect Spartacus and ensure the victory of the uprising. Igor, meanwhile, wants only one thing: to return, but circumstances force him to help his companion.

The situation becomes more complicated because Surkov is torn between his girlfriend, who also got sent into the past but is on the side of the Romans, and a new acquaintance—one of the participants in the uprising.

*** The events against which the novel unfolds are historically accurate. The heroes do not change history—they are organically woven into the fabric of Rome in the first century BC. ***
