Our story is a chain of meetings and collisions — my unwillingness to see him, and his persistence. I dreamed of someone else. And then he appeared out of nowhere, like a whirlwind, like a hurricane sweeping through everything in its path. I wanted with all my might to get rid of him, but fate sometimes arranges the cards in peculiar ways — and sometimes it even switches to chess, forcing you to reject old attachments, habits, feelings and accept new rules of the game.
From the author: It’s an easy, uncomplicated story. After “Empty Card” and other more serious novels, you want to relax a bit and write something uncomplicated. I hope you’ll enjoy it. I’ll be glad to read your comments.
