Yuri Ivanovich Drozdov is an outstanding Soviet intelligence officer. For 35 years of his life, he devoted himself to service in illegal intelligence, serving as a Soviet resident in the USA and China. The first part of the book is the author’s memoirs of his path—from an operational agent to the head of Department “C” of the First Main Directorate of the KGB. “Notes…” of the intelligence officer are dedicated to removing the “Secret” classification from many events in the history of the post-war period of our state and from the participants in those events (heroes and traitors). The intelligence officer’s habit—to observe, collect information, and analyze it—came in handy for Yuri Ivanovich Drozdov as the head of a small analytical center of JSC “NAMAKON.” The second part of the book consists of journalistic articles analyzing the social and political situation in our country from the beginning of the 1990s of the last century up to the present day.
