A certain writer tries to recreate the last day of life of Samuel, a young man who suddenly died (did he commit suicide?) in a car accident. In the stories told by his friends, his beloved girlfriend, relatives, and neighbors, different facets of his personality emerge: a loving grandson, a bureaucrat by necessity, a devoted friend, an absurd poseur, a lover ready for anything for his girlfriend… What remains of all our fleeting memories? And what hides behind what we don’t remember? This is a novel about love and friendship, betrayal and violence, the grief of losing a loved one, and loneliness—about the fleeting nature of time and the properties of our memory.
