First explore who. Then explore I. When you return to I, the question disappears and there will be no answer. This is your answer. The very absence of an answer is the answer. The river returns to its source from which it arose—to the ocean—and disappears. Further searching for the river makes no sense. The river became the source.
Chharilal Pundja, whom students usually call Papaji, was born on October 13, 1910, in Punjab, into the family of the sister of one of the respected Indian saints, Swami Rama Tirtha. At the age of eight, he had his first experience of realizing the Truth.
That realization became complete after his meeting with his Teacher, Sri Ramana Maharshi, when Pundja was thirty-four years old. Since then, Papaji has been sharing the beauty he has known with the world around him: through word, gaze, touch—through the peace and silence that arise in the hearts of seekers from his mere presence.
