It All Started on Thursday

It is hard to find a more boring planet than Old Good England. A museum, after all—what can you expect: stone buildings, paintings by long-forgotten artists, and holographic sheep in the fields of Yorkshire. And it is hard to imagine a more boring job than being the curator of that museum. However, James Oliver never thought to complain—everything suited him just fine. Until the ship of the famous adventurer, altruist, and fool with the surname Shero crashed onto the planet.

On the downside: the Tower of London and the communication systems. On the upside: pirates in orbit, a crowd of terrified tourists, and the magnificent Shero himself to boot. James does not want to cooperate, but he will have to—there is no one else to solve the problems.

However, James had no idea what exactly had begun on that most ordinary Thursday.
