No one even thinks that the manor house in Allared will become the scene of crimes so incredible in their inventiveness—“a bloody bath,” as if the playful translation of the title (“all red”) had turned into some fatal curse. And, most important of all, amid this wild bloodshed, the victims are kept to a minimum.
The humor in the novel hits the roof, and I sincerely hope I managed to convey it.
