Description
Yakov Lvovich Lovich (Deich), a warrant officer in the Russian Imperial Army, a hero of the Great War who did not recognize the new power. Lovich joined Admiral Kolchak’s army and fought against the Reds until the very end, and then moved to Manchuria.

A special theme for Lovich the writer became the bloody events of 1920 in Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, when bandits of the anarchist partisan Yakov Tryapitsyn destroyed this old Far Eastern city. It is to this tragedy that the novel “Enemies” is devoted, which Yakov Lovich created based on his own investigation conducted during the Civil War. Written in a vivid and lively style, the book soon became the most popular in Russian exile in Asia.
