The residents of the Flower Town go on an air journey in a balloon invented by Znayka. Neznaika was forbidden to fly, but he sneaked onto the airship by trickery. High in the sky, the balloon starts to fall, and even after dropping the extra cargo, the travelers continue flying downward…
The writer Nikolay Nosov began inventing stories, and later—tales—for children completely by accident: at first he simply told funny invented stories to his little son and his friends. Gradually he realized that writing for children is the best kind of work—one that requires a great deal of knowledge, and not only literary.
Nikolay Nikolaevich was interested in children’s psychology and believed that “to children it is necessary to show the greatest and very warm respect”—which is probably why his books found and still find such a strong response among the young audience.
Nosov’s best-known and most beloved work is, of course, the novel-fairy tale “The Adventures of Neznaika and His Friends.” His heroes became so loved by young readers that they literally forced the writer to continue their adventures. As a result, a trilogy about Neznaika was created. This truly children’s masterpiece has been reissued for many years and has never left the screens, in the form of cartoons, feature films, and electronic games.
