The Revolt of the Angels

The Ardís audio studio presents the science-fiction novel "The Revolt of the Angels" by Anatole France, published in 1914, describing how heaven is seized by fallen angels. According to the author’s plan, the angelic rebellion took place in that same 1914 year. In his novel, France seems to anticipate the beginning of the greatest cataclysms, when no reason for them was yet visible, and he sets the apocalyptic drama in heaven against what, in the ordinary sense, is simply an earthly year—1914.
