The main character is an oligarch who dies by a killer’s bullet. In his lifetime, the protagonist went through Afghanistan and border outposts, then served on the border. In the wild 90s, he created a group of veterans of local wars, swallowing up the bandits of his home region. He built corporations and was a benefactor. But modern power has its own views about an oligarch—so a hired killer issues the protagonist a one-way ticket.
The protagonist lands in the middle world, where he meets an apostle who calls himself a “manager.” With the help of the Apostle Paul, he gets into the body of the murdered Russian Emperor Paul the First, in order to create a branch of a parallel world and thereby obtain yet another life. As an energetic person, he sets out to bring order to the Russian Empire. An eye for an eye for his enemies, the emperor’s favor toward those who honestly serve their Fatherland, and preparing an heir as his successor. What came of it? The reader can find out from the book’s narration.
