Description
Psychic energy is controlled by a small but powerful part of humanity, which led to the reorientation of civilization, a split, war, and a new reshuffling of the world.

The almost simultaneous death of millions of people and an immeasurable number of other inhabitants of the planet resulted in the final formation and unprecedented flourishing of the “necrosphere,” within which a certain existence alternative to the biosphere became possible—an existence that cannot be described in terms of our reality. This does not exclude inevitable contacts with creatures from the necro-realm, and even the use by people of their supernatural qualities.

The adherents of the “new order” learned to transform psychoenergy into any forms, which led to the emergence of fundamentally new ways of waging war, suppressing resistance, and subjugating masses. Reality itself is, in part, the product of collective consciousness projected outward by a small number of representatives of one of humanity’s evolutionary branches. As a result, all “reality” is controlled by no more than a hundred families.

The only stronghold of resistance remains deeply hidden monasteries that have lost their former functions and are led by wizard-abbots, who instill a Voodoo cult among their flock. The foundation of their activities is experiments with the psyche and the training of zombified hired killers who act outside the control of consciousness. This allows them to avoid the influence of the “psychedelic nightmare” and the self-destructive aspects of perception.

The clash between the sides and the discovery of a mystical fetish called “Seth’s Masks” leads to a paradoxical distortion and intersection of realities—in one of which operates a person from the near future who believes himself to be a zombie and in fact is a living instrument of violence, subordinated to a multi-layered hierarchy of programs controlling him; and in another—an emergence of necromancy: a “triple” creature from the 26th century, returned to the world as the result of the fusion of three souls, shadows, a “ka”—an innocent girl, a hanged killer, and an old monk.

The novel contains interpenetrating elements of ancient Egyptian mysticism, the Voodoo cult, and can be classified as a synthetic genre: simultaneously an anti-utopia, a psychological and mystical-fantastic thriller, and a harsh action novel.
