A young inventor, Stirner, studies the activity of living beings’ brains and the transmission of thought at a distance. For support of his scientific projects, Stirner turns to a major banker, Karl Gotlieb. Numerous experiments on animals and people yield astonishing results. But Stirner is not satisfied with his relationship with the banker—he does not want to be just a hired servant. His ambitions are to become the ruler of the world, to inspire love, to subjugate everyone and everything to his power, and to dictate his terms to the world.
