It seemed he was destined to become one of the capital’s mаjors in a powerful sports car: to burn life away in clubs, surround himself with “the right” people, travel the world, swapping elite resorts one after another. But Sergey hated all of it. He spent his student years in rented apartments, without explaining what kind of family he came from. He found real friends—not those who would stick around only because of his status. And he caught the most terrible and incurable of all possible viruses—hiking expeditions. For him, the Maldives and the Bahamas were open, and he was packing a backpack, aiming for the Russian backwoods. Together with his faithful friends Yurka, Andrey, and Vitya, Sergey traveled through abandoned villages. They chose an interesting, though unsightly, occupation for themselves—black prospectors. They dug the earth looking for valuable ancient artifacts that could be sold for a profit or kept as a souvenir. This hike had to be the last one. When he returned, Sergey would get a serious job and start living an adult life. He promised his father. Only none of his close-knit team knew that some secrets were buried in the ground for a reason—and they must never be shown to the world. Could this hike really be the last one?
