The author, Nina Dashevskaya, is a musician and writer. She plays the violin in the orchestra of the N. I. Sats Children’s Music Theatre and writes books that are loved by readers. Nina Dashevskaya has twice been a laureate of the All-Russian competition for the best children’s and youth literary work “Kniguru,” and in 2014, for the story “Willy,” she received the V. Krapivin Prize.
