The second part of Maria Gurova’s cycle about the Sleeping King is a series of works, each of which includes a novella-prequel and the main novel. The book plots are classic, but they unfold in an atmosphere reminiscent of Europe from 1920–1940. This cycle may interest fans of Lee Bardugo’s trilogy “Shadow and Bone” and George R. R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series.
