Venus Flytrap

This story is included in the author’s collection The Fallen Curtain (1976), awarded by the Edgar Allan Poe association of the Mystery Writers of America. At the center of each story is the account of a person with a severe psychological deviation who takes a criminal path.
Just like victims gather to a fatal woman—drawn in as if by the beauty of a flower and becoming prey for the Venus flytrap, that magnificent predatory plant—so too the victims fall into the grip of her sick consciousness, turning into its food.
