The devastating wars of the past led to a shortage of men on Earth. Only three women out of four can hope for marriage. Even more men left Earth and relocated to other planets. So Venus has the opposite situation: a sharp shortage of women. Women from Earth who fly there in search of men are called shameless show-offs.
