Russia, Moscow. Mid-21st century. A “first aid” doctor is put on trial for translating, from Latin, the diagnosis “cancer with metastases.” This leads to a serious scandal and a lawsuit by the patient’s relatives against the clinic. The vice mayor’s chosen scapegoat is a doctor who was sentenced to five years, prohibited from practicing medicine, and whose apartment was taken away in favor of a hostel for those who suffered losses. Discussing the situation, friends—doctors—come to the conclusion that the country is sliding into totalitarianism, where everything is run by officials and… as it turns out—an artificial intelligence. Enter doctor Aleksei Zorin and his wife Valentina Artemova—Artemida—who are helped by their cyber-suits: Zud and Diana.
