I can’t stand magicians! They won’t break you—they’ll destroy you. They won’t kill you—they’ll dispose of you. Their manic urge to destroy the unclean is infuriating. Where’s tolerance? Where, in the end, is respect for living and non-living nature? That’s why I, Matilda, the daughter of Bastiinda, moved from the city to the wilderness. So I could, without interference, do my favorite thing—breeding rare magical creatures. In a way, I decided to set up a sanctuary. And what happened? A magician showed up!
