Igor Guberman is one of the most vivid authors writing in the genre of satirical reality, both in verse and prose. His “gariks” have become so well known that today authorship is attributed to almost anyone— from ancient Roman philosophers to the classics of Russian literature of the 18th century. And yet, in all his creative works, the hand of a master is clearly visible: Igor Mironovich is easy to recognize and reads effortlessly, as if in one breath. Sharing my personal experience: when I first met the books of Igor Guberman, I realized it was a door into an entirely new world. That is exactly what it turned out to be—reading (and here, even listening to) Guberman is very easy and interesting; I don’t even know what to compare it to, guys…
And today, in front of you, is a wonderful book by Igor Guberman—“Evening Bell,” which, in fact, although it was not written in 2012 (as the title of the entry might seem at first glance), has been given a new breath thanks to enthusiasts who created more than 14 hours of narrated audio material. Of course, that will first of all please those who are used to first download audio books and then listen to them at a convenient time in a convenient place. But I think you can try listening to it too—and, most importantly, really listen. And those who have never encountered audio books before, who sincerely believe that it’s more convenient for them to read books in print.
