Three thieves die during an unsuccessful raid. In an instant, three women become widows. Dolly Rawlings, Linda Pirelli, and Shirley Miller—each in her own way—are deeply shaken by the grief that has fallen upon them. When Dolly opens her husband Harry’s bank safety deposit box, she finds a pistol, money, and detailed plans for robberies. She understands she has three options: 1) forget what she found; 2) hand her husband’s notebooks to the police or to the gangsters who want to take over their criminal business and threaten her and the other widows; 3) carry out the robbery planned by their husbands themselves. Dolly decides to continue her beloved husband’s work together with Linda and Shirley—to deal with the police and with their husband’s former rivals. Harry’s plan required four people, but only three died. Who was the fourth, and where is he now? Will the widows be able to carry out the robbery and escape the police? Will they find and punish the guilty?
