Distant future. Humanity has reached space and spread among far-off stars. Now, between its parts, an extended and bloody war is underway. One of the warring sides launches a series of sabotage attacks that undermine the very foundation of its security. These diversions are accompanied by coded radio transmissions encoded with a strange cipher, provisionally called “Babylon-17.” To decrypt it, the military leadership decides to invite the famous poetess Ryidra Wong, a former cryptography department employee.
