This book was written based on the script of the first film of the same name in the world (a 12-episode TV series) about the Bulgarian clairvoyant grandmother Vanga (1911–1996). The famous seer, who predicted many significant events of modern history—the length of Stalin’s life, the introduction of Soviet troops into Czechoslovakia, the death of Indira Gandhi, the sinking accident involving the Kursk submarine—is presented to the reader not only as a mysterious person with inexplicable abilities, but also as a woman whose fate was filled with dramatic twists and the dynamics of strong feelings. At the same time, she always justified the meaning of her name Vangeliа—“the one who brings good news.”
