At the other end of the state, a gray-haired Texas ranger hunts a serial killer—and it will lead him to an even more shocking revelation. A man of law, he will have to decide how deep into darkness he’s willing to sink for justice.

And in one dusty autumn night, an old evil will take on a new life—and new blood.
