Description
A children’s play «At an English School» based on Charles Dickens’s educational novel «The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby».
After the death of Nicholas Nickleby’s father, Nicholas travels to London with his mother and sister, Kate, to ask for help from their wealthy uncle, Ralph Nickleby. Ralph Nickleby directs Nicholas to Squeers, the owner of the private school «Dotboys Hall Academy» in Yorkshire. Here, Nicholas discovers that the school is more like a prison: the children starve and face cruel punishments.
