The Broken Hearted

Alistair MacLean (1922–1987) is a British writer, author of 28 thrillers and adventure stories, and a screenwriter. His name is widely known to readers around the world. MacLean’s books sold over 150 million copies, and 18 films were made based on his novels, screenplays, and plots. In 1983, the University of Glasgow awarded the writer a Doctor of Literature degree. A special train of the Governor of Nevada departs for a remote and rather unfavorable fortress.
