Evening Class

Maeve Binchy was a well-known writer and journalist whose books became bestsellers and received international awards. Her novel «Lessons in Italian» tells the story of ordinary people with humor and love. After many years spent in Sicily, Maeve returned to Ireland and began teaching Italian language courses at a Dublin school. Despite setbacks and difficulties, the announcement of the courses sparked great interest, and the group gathered different people united by the desire to bring something new into their lives. Perhaps Italy became for them a symbol of the freshness and warmth left there by their teacher.
