Russia’s main punk rocker, Alexander “Chacha” Ivanov, was the first to respond: he took a risk and joined the project “уРОКи литературы” (“Lessons of Literature”). He was given the “scariest” themed collection— a collection of gothic stories, “уРОК литературы. О призраках, о вампирах и о прочей нечисти” (“Lessons of Literature. About Ghosts, About Vampires and Other Unclean Spirits”). Alexander’s incredible voice, his signature hoarseness, made works by Gogol, Turgenev, and Kuprin sound in a special way.
