In Kologreevka, peace reigns—until, one day, a chain of mysterious incidents disrupts the usual course of events, sparked by someone’s thoughtlessness or laziness. Three people go into the forest to find answers from its owner, Urman. But they’re not bound by friendship. Each lies to the others and, above all, to themselves, because the truth may turn out to be unpleasant. Darkness thickens. Tree branches whisper. Paths don’t always lead to deliverance, and the forest’s creatures don’t always look like people. This is a story about envy that lures you in—and fear from which there’s no escape.
