Description
Evelyn Waugh (1903–1966) is an outstanding British writer, biographer, and journalist—one of the finest stylists, as well as a recognized master of black humor and cutting satire. He created grotesquely funny fantasies, where the everyday way of life of the British Empire—slipping away into the past—gets refracted in strange ways.

The main character of the novel “Decline and Fall” is a teacher who takes a job at a privileged, closed school after he was disgracefully expelled from Oxford for participating in a wild party.
