Mr. Hutton, a man in full bloom, is generally quite content with his life. He does have one small flaw—despite having a wife, he can never deny himself easy flings with ladies of all ages and stations. And he even gave himself a nickname: “Christ of the Ladies.”

After making a play to a certain Miss Spencer, he decided to flatter her by comparing her smile to that of the Mona Lisa. But the trouble is: real women are far from as harmless as silent strangers in the paintings of great artists. And Mr. Hutton will have to learn this for himself when the newly minted Mona Lisa gives the would-be suitor his due.
