When Elena Pavlova was just getting ready to take a job in the immunogenetics department of a Prague medical clinic, she met a doctor who was trying to pull scientific work out of the mouth of a mouflon. The doctor managed to save the work, and Elena—become a lab employee, befriend the many-faced cheerful team, and at some point begin keeping a diary. This diary is what gave birth to the book—an anthology of funny and instructive stories about good people who know how to work, how to rest, and how to laugh at themselves and at those around them. And the mouflons—friendly, even if wild ancestors of domestic rams—keep wandering in the thickets around the clinic. And from time to time they eat scientific papers, getting smarter and smarter.
