Money doesn’t guarantee the absence of problems. More likely, it’s the opposite. The investigator advised me to be cautious. His train of thought was perfectly clear. My brother died; the murder was clearly commissioned; and the goal was to get hold of someone else’s property. I’m the only heiress—and therefore the only obstacle to someone’s plans. An obstacle that can easily be removed by people who don’t disdain anything.
