Description
Margery Louise Allingham is an English writer belonging to the “golden age of English literature,” acclaimed as the “queen of detective fiction” alongside Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, and Ngaio Marsh. She stood out among other authors of this genre, in Agatha Christie’s words, “like a blazing lamp.”
The discovery of yet another murder seemed a foregone conclusion for an inspector of the criminal police—until, at the crime scene, his friend Albert appeared. It was immediately clear that the only suspect had an unshakeable alibi, and that the real villain left no trace. But perhaps, this time, a true stroke of luck will come to the aid of the amateur sleuth?
