Description
After her husband leaves, Laila loses everything: her position, money, circle of acquaintances, and her own home. On top of that, her daughter Bea—a fan of true crime and detective series—gets expelled from school. Trying to start over from a clean slate, Laila agrees to move to Richmond and tidy up a cluttered apartment in the luxurious “Primrose” mansion, where vibrant retirees live, starting every morning with bourbon and gossip—in exactly that order.
However, the idyll doesn’t last long.
