Thousandth Night

When the Age of Star Conquest was just beginning, Abigail Gentian split herself into a thousand male and female clones and named them Shuttlerlings. Over six million years, the Shuttlerlings acquired the highest technologies, the fastest ships, and the most powerful weapons. Using relativistic speeds and cryosleep, these people learned to manipulate time, and in comparison to the rest of humanity they are now immortal—compared to worms that have crawled through the pages of history.

To young civilizations, they are essentially gods—they can save a star from an explosion, move a planet, and revive the economy of an entire world.

But recently, some force has appeared in the Universe that seeks to destroy the descendants of Gentian. To stand up to this merciless enemy, the Shuttlerlings must first unravel its secret.

In addition to "House of Suns," the book includes two novellas that are thematically linked to it and tell of the past and future of certain characters from the novel. In Russian, they are published for the first time.
