The Mist

David Drayton goes to town to buy groceries with his five-year-old son and the neighbor Norton. He left his wife at home in a small town in Maine—to put things in order after the night storm and to wait for the electricians.

A strange fog drifts in from the direction of the lake, wrapping everything around it… Already at the store David understands that something serious has happened… In the fog there is something sinister blocking the way outside. The situation is made worse by Mrs. Carmody, the local “odd one,” who has her own explanation of what’s going on…
