The main character is a Viking Stormberg, the police chief of Stentresk. He not only investigates a real crime, but also battles the shadows of the past— a letter from his wife Helena, received by their son Marcus, deprives him of sleep and peace. After all, Helena drowned in a swamp thirty years earlier. Even though so many years have passed, the Viking hasn’t forgotten her.
The plot unfolds completely unexpectedly. It’s not only a detective story; it’s also a love story connecting events of the 1980s and our time.
