On the Sniper's Trail: The Call of the Zone

A young man in Moscow named Valera studies there—and he has a beloved girlfriend Dasha, a nonconformist and an adrenaline junkie. Her father had been a stalker—and that was where he disappeared in the Zone, leaving his daughter as a farewell gift something dubious: she can charge artifacts. One day, people who absolutely shouldn’t know about her ability find out. With the prompting of new “friends,” Dasha unexpectedly goes into the Zone—and disappears, having time only to call Valera. He rushes to her rescue, not yet realizing what hopeless mess he’s getting himself into. And the story suddenly becomes complicated…
